What is the minimum night stay?
  • The minimum night stay is 2 nights for non-peak seasons, or 3 nights for peak seasons and holidays.
Check-in & Check-out times
  • Check-in time is after 3:00 pm and checkout is before 11:00 am.
  • Early check-ins or late checkouts can be requested for an additional charge. All early check-ins or late check-outs are subject to no other reservations in the property at the time of arrival/departure. As such, these will be tentatively booked and confirmed only within the last 72 hours prior to arrival. It is the guest’s responsibility to contact Beavers Bend Cabin Getaways within 72 hours of arrival to confirm availability. In the event a guest fails to depart from the property by 11:00 am with no late checkout arranged and results in Beavers Bend Cabin Getaways being unable to clean and prepare the rental property for the next arriving guest that day, the departing guest agrees to pay damages and costs incurred by Beavers Bend Cabin Getaways; including but not limited to moving the incoming guest to another rental property.
What do we need to bring?
  • Our cabins come fully furnished. The only thing you need to bring is food, clothes, personal hygiene items, charcoal and lighter fluid, and recreational firewood for outdoor pits (don’t forget your S’mores mak’ns). We provide fully furnished kitchens, including cooking utensils, pots, pans, plates, coffee, sugar, creamer, paper towels, trash bags, etc. Also, we provide bath and bed linens, firewood (for fireplaces only).
What is the Accidental Damage Waiver
  • The accidental damage waiver protection fee for each reservation is non-refundable and will cover reported accidental or inadvertent damages – these must be reported immediately in writing to Beavers Bend Cabin Getaways within 24 hours, by email to [email protected], and then followed-up with a voicemail to our main office phone number at 580-494-6116.
  • The accidental damage protection will become void upon departure; any unreported damage found by Beavers Bend Cabin Getaways will be the sole responsibility of the guest who incurred the damage.
  • The value of the damage protection is up to $500. Intentional damage, theft or gross negligence is not covered and will result in additional costs to the guest. The plan is provided and administrated by Beavers Bend Cabin Getaways and is not an insurance policy.
What is the driving distance to Broken Bow/Hochatown?
  • 198 miles from downtown Dallas, TX (3-3.5 hours driving time)
  • 255 miles from downtown Oklahoma City, OK (4 hours driving time)
  • 215 miles from downtown Tulsa, OK (3.5 hours driving time)
  • 156 miles from downtown Shreveport, LA ( 3 hour drive)
  • 151 miles from downtown Tyler, TX (3 hour drive)
  • 138 miles from downtown Longview, TX ( 2.5 hour drive)
Can we build a campfire?
  • Campfires are allowed year-around except when a burn ban is in effect. There are many places along the HWY259 in Hochatown to purchase bundles of recreational firewood. Please check http://www.forestry.ok.gov/burn-ban-informationto see if a burn pan is in effect.
Can we use GPS to get to our cabin?
  • Please DON’T!
  • Please print or screenshot you turn-by-turn driving direction prior to entering the area. We are located in a rural area and GPS is not always accurate or reliable. We provide the 911 address to every property in the Guest Portal but this is as a courtesy and for use for the local emergency services.
  • GPS does not always locate these addresses correctly.
Are any properties Pet Friendly?
  • We do have Pet Friendly cabins and our list continues to grow. To search for these, just input “pet” into the amenities criteria in the cabin search along the left side of the website.
  • We allow up to 2 pets per cabin with a weight limit of 25 lbs, and with a $30 pet fee PER pet.
  • If you encounter that you accidentally booked a cabin without applying the pet fee, please contact the office immediately and BEFORE check-IN to rectify the error.
  • Unauthorized pets found in a cabin are subject to eviction and fees applied, with no refunds.
  • Please ensure that you cleanup after your pet BEFORE check-out, there should be little to no evidence of a pet having occupied the property.
  • If pet hair is found in a property upon departure clean and there was not a pet fee paid, the card on file will be charged and Unauthorized Pet Fee. If it is in a non-Pet Friendly property, the reservation is subject to being charged a Deep Cleaning Fee.
Can I smoke in my cabin?

Can I host an event in in my cabin?
  • Please call our office to answer this question. Some properties can accommodate some events, such as small weddings; however, most do not have septic tanks large enough to accommodate more than the max occupancy rate. In addition, there are other factors that will prohibit events on certain properties.
  • ALL events must be first approved by the office and in writing. Failure to comply may result in eviction and excessive cleaning fees; with no refund.
What is there to do in Hochatown?
  • To list a few, fishing, boating, kayaking, horseback riding, golf, putt-putt, go-carts, dinning and hiking. View the link for area attractions on the main page of our website. In your cabin you will find and area attractions binder with all of the information as well. For more information about area activities and events go to www.visitmccurtaincounty.com.
What kind of wildlife are in the area?
  • Do NOT feed the wildlife.
  • Many animals call this area of SE OK their home. Some include, but are not limited to: deer, coyotes, racoons, opossums, snakes, bear, bobcats, mountain lions, foxes, and squirrel.
  • We also have many biting insects and arachnids such as: mosquitos, chiggars, ticks, wasps, ants, and spiders.
  • Please take precautions with all wildlife.
What if I need to cancel?
  • All cancellations must be received in writing and are subject to the following penalty percentages of the total rental fee:
  • 30% from initial date of booking up to 31 days prior to the arrival date (the rental deposit is non-refundable).
  • 100% if less than 31 days prior to the arrival date.

  • Please wash and put away all dishes.
  • Wipe out and empty the refrigerator and kitchen cabinets of all items you brought to the home.
  • All trash must be bagged and placed in the appropriate garbage area or in animal-proof trash bins outside. If you have excess garbage, please call or text the Maintenance/Emergency phone line at 580-306-3575 for additional instructions.
  • Remove ALL trash and food from unit. Departure Cleaning Fee does not include trash cleanup/removal.
  • Please leave indoor and outdoor furniture and TV/DVD’s arranged as you found them.
  • Make sure all windows and doors are closed and locked. If your unit has a hot tub, please make sure the cover is on and locked.
  • Clean and remove all traces of pets (remember, only authorized pets are allowed in Pet Friendly units ONLY, and with paid pet fees). The Departure Cleaning Fee does not cover Pet Cleanup.
  • Please start at least 1 load of towels and have them running at the time of your departure. If you choose to wash more than 1 load of towels, feel free to leave them in a pile on the sofa for a Cleaning Specialist to fold and put away.
  • Do not leave traces of blood, urine, vomit, feces, or any other bodily fluid, as this will incur added cleaning fees. Please be respectful of your Cleaning Specialist. This also includes hot tubs.
  • Check under all beds, sofas, and in all drawers and closets for your belongings. We cannot assume responsibility for any items left behind in the vacation rental property. If you have left something in the property and we are able to locate it, we will ship it back to you at your expense. We must have a credit card in advance to ship the items back.
  • Please do a final walk through to check that doors, windows, and skylights are closed and locked. Please make sure that all main lights are off, however, it is permissible to leave lamp lights on.
  • Remember your check-out time is posted on your contract. Housekeeping is scheduled to arrive shortly after your departure, so please observe the check-out times.
  • Special COLD WEATHER instructions: Make sure all heat is left at 60 degrees – DO NOT turn the heat off! If there is a hot tub, leave the temperature on medium or 90 degrees and the cover on secured by the strap and locked.

 

Who owns Beavers Bend Cabin Getaways?

BBCG is owned and operated by Howard and Nikki Jones. Howard is a retiring US Navy veteran and Nikki is a home-grown local who left McCurtain Co nearly 20 years ago to follow her sailor. Through the years they have not only pursued higher education in business management, marketing, real estate, and project management, but have owned and operated successful businesses at multiple duty stations that have benefited multiple communities, and was able to leave on-going legacies in the hands of new owners. 

Now with the retirement from the military, Howard’s promise to his bride has always been to put down their forever roots in whatever location she would choose, since she faithful left the comfort of her hometown to follow him and his call to serve our country. And so, with this new chapter in their lives, they are proud to call McCurtain County “HOME” once more. BBCG is a service industries company and allows them to continue to follow their servant hearts and provide quality service and help in bringing joy into the lives of others.
